Garden-Style
The garden-style apartment complex features a residential building or multiple standalone buildings where the units are spread out in a low-rise, ground-level configuration. The buildings are usually 2-3 stories high and feature a landscaped central courtyard or garden area. Units often incorporate private outdoor space in the form of balconies or patios, and the overall design of the buildings emphasizes a connection with the outdoors and a residential feel. This type of housing is typically seen as a more suburban or residential alternative to high-rise apartments. It is often preferred for its low density, private outdoor space, and spacious living arrangements.

Podium
The podium-style apartment complex is a type of multi-unit residential building ranging from low-rise to high-rise, featuring a multi-level parking structure as the building base with residential units typically arranged on top in a stacked configuration. The parking structure, or "podium," is often covered by a deck or landscaped area, which serves as a shared outdoor space for residents and may include a recreation area or space for additional building amenities. This project type is commonly seen in urban areas and is favored for its efficient use of space and the ability to provide ample parking while maintaining a low-rise profile.

Wrap
A wrap-style apartment complex is like the podium but offers a unique solution to several suburban planning challenges, such as incorporating an unnoticeable parking garage. This design is best suited for urban transitional areas on the edges of cities and works well in areas where land prices do not permit garden-style layouts with surface parking. The wrap design encloses the central parking structure within the building envelope, with residential units positioned away from the interior, preserving views and the overall building aesthetic.
APARTMENT COMPLEXES
RMP specializes in the design review and installation of all plumbing systems and finishes within low to mid-rise projects, including garden-style, podium, and wrap apartment complexes.
UNDERGROUND PHASE
This phase starts from the project's beginning and lasts three to four months. During this phase, shallow trenches are dug, concrete is poured, below-grade plumbing is installed, and mains are backfilled with compaction devices.
ROUGH-IN PHASE
This phase starts four months into the project and lasts four additional months. During this phase, rough framing and roofing are installed, and rough-in plumbing work is completed, including PVC drain waste and vent (DWV) piping, domestic water piping (CPVC and PEX piping), gas piping (steel piping), etc.
FINISHING PHASE
This phase starts approximately ten months into the project and lasts two to four months. All finishes, including toilets, bathtubs, showers, sinks, and other fixtures, are installed during this phase.
